The Word: Understanding & Trusting the Bible in an Age of Skepticism
Today's attacks on the Bible come from every direction: adventure novels and blockbuster movies, university classes and news magazines. Everywhere we turn, questions are being raised about how we got the Bible, how we interpret the Bible and whether or not we can trust the Bible. But the modern skepticism about Scripture has an easily-overlooked bright side: people are asking questions about a crucial subject. If Christians are prepared with credible answers to authentic questions, they have an opportunity to speak truth into our culture in natural and meaningful ways. Anyone interested in knowing how the Bible came together, what the Bible is and how we should both study and defend God's Word will find this an invaluable resource.

The Word is a magnificent primer on the trustworthiness of the Bible. While easy to read, it does not lack intellectual rigor or scholarship. It is an excellent source for students or anyone else interested in the Bible's reliablity, authority, or wisdom. It is so well written that it could be read in an afternoon or studied for several weeks. Quite a good book!

This is a great book! It addresses a lot of the questions that people in today's world are asking about the Bible and whether or not it's really God's Word. In addition to giving clear answers to a lot of common questions, it also gives a great conceptual framework for thinking about vitually any question that someone might ask you about the Bible.
